Nutrition and Dietetics training Overview

What we eat has a significant impact on our wellbeing. It does not only affects our physical health but also our mental health. One’s mood, drive, thinking and psychology are influenced by what one eats.


Also of importance is how we eat. Are we eating within a group or are we rushing through our meal on the go? This is important as our eating patterns and the behaviours that we develop to affect the types of food that we consume. If always rushing and eating on the go, we are more likely to consume easily convenient food options, such as junk food, leading to poorer health outcomes.




New Reflections understands how our food choices and health outcomes are influenced by individual and environmental factors, such as time constraints, our own metabolism systems, advertising, tastes and different types of information presented to us. New Reflections seeks to address these factors and provide participants with the tools and skills to deal with them to achieve positive outcomes.

The participants of the nutrition and dietetics workshop will learn and apply skills, tools and knowledge in making healthy food choices, develop healthy eating practices, greater awareness of nutrition and its value, insights into health risks, development of life skills regarding food preparation and importance of exercise within a healthy diet. This nutrition course is the next step towards greater health and wellbeing.

  • Be introduced to an easy grocery shopping system & its powerful shopping list.

  • Be more aware of the negative effects of snacking & learn to eat in moderation.

  • Develop healthier life habits: self-care, home-care, sleep routine, and exercise.

  • Realise how obesity and overweight affect your health and self-esteem.

  • Slow down your eating: the importance of conscious eating.

  • Discover the pleasure behind mealtime and mealtime preparation.

  • Create your personal contract to monitor your personal food diet.
